My son had his first hair cut here yesterday at 18 months old. He gets quite shy and upset around new people so we were worried how he’d be, but hairdresser Deric was absolutely amazing, working around my little one who was moving and wriggling about so much. Deric was so patient and did an amazing job, we couldn’t be happier with the outcome. We’ll definitely be back for his future hair cuts. He even got a little certificate afterwards which was a lovely thought!

A big thank you! I got recommended to this salon from another parent and it was a very good recommendation. I have a 3yr old with curly hair, he doesn't really want to sit still and doesn't like his hair being brushed so getting a hair trim was something i wasnt looking forward to. However the two lovely ladies (Jill and Shelby)were so reassuring right from the start and made us feel comfortable. They have a spercific childrens room which is great, with selection of different chairs, toys and a tv. Even when my son had a little accident and got upset they were so kind and helpful. We came out happy, my son got a lovely hair cut and certifiacate! What a nice thing to do. Would highly recommend. Thank you :)

Shelbys was recommended to us by a friend and I was not disappointed. Cutting hair is an art form, cutting children's hair is in a league of it own. My son whose on the spectrum, dislikes having his head touched and hate the sound of trimmers. This was he second time at Shelbys and he sat and let his hair cut happen. I could not be more pleased with the results. Thank you! and we'll see you again x

My son had his first hair cut here today by Jillian. She was absolutely amazing with him. The atmosphere was exactly what I was hoping for. Lots of toys to keep him entertained and a tv show to watch. We got a first haircut certificate and a lock of his hair to keep. We have definitely found his permanent hairdressers. Thank you Jill.

What a marvellous place this Hairdressers’s is, particularly if you have an autistic non verbal child. My grandson is non verbal autistic and refused to have his hair cut. It was so bad his parents had to try to cut it while he was asleep. It’s a well known trait of an autistic child that they are petrified of having their hair cut, it feels pain to them. Then I found Shelby’s! I took my 5 year old grandson, expecting nothing but hoping if I took him regularly he may get use to the place and maybe let them attempt to cut at least his fringe. Well we met Jillian and her kind words and chat to our little grandson and how she took her time and he felt comfortable with her meant an hour later he had had not only his fringe cut but his long hair cut and styled with no tears! Amazing! He even gave her a hug at the end, something he does rarely to even family! They had a great chair for him to sit on that had a driving wheel, sensory toys and a TV on. He loved it. We are re-booked for his next cut. I was so happy, I had tears of joy to see him be so calm and happy. Thank you Shelby’s and Jillian from the bottom of my heart. His parents were amazed when we took him home.
